About MexspireX

Students don't just watch robots here. They build one.

MexspireX asks every team to pick a real problem, build a robot or machine that tackles it, and explain how it works to a jury. It rewards what good STEM teaching is for: curiosity, teamwork, and the patience to make something actually work.

  • Build

A working robot, machine or automated model, built by the team.

  • Code

Sensors, logic and control, from a first circuit to fully autonomous behaviour.

  • Present

Every member explains their part of the build to the jury.

Categories & theme

Three categories. One theme.

This year's theme is "Machines that Make a Difference". Every MexspireX project starts with a real problem. Build a robot, a machine or an automated system that solves part of it, then show the jury how it works.

Classes 3–5MXJ

Junior

Helper Bots

Pick one small, everyday problem and build a machine that helps with it. It can be simple: what matters is that it moves, it works, and your team can explain how.

Project ideas

  • A plant-watering bot for the classroom
  • A smart dustbin that opens on its own
  • A line-following delivery cart
  • A toy sorter that sorts by colour or size
Classes 6–8MXI

Intermediate

Smart & Sustainable Cities

Choose a problem your city faces, such as waste, water, traffic, energy or safety, and build a robot or automated system that tackles part of it. Show the sensor input, the decision and the action.

Project ideas

  • An automatic street light that saves energy
  • A waste-segregation conveyor
  • A flood or water-level alert system
  • A smart parking or traffic-signal model
Classes 9–12MXS

Senior

Autonomous Systems for Real Problems

Design and build an autonomous or semi-autonomous system for a real problem. The jury will look for sound engineering, a clear control logic, and evidence that you tested it.

Project ideas

  • A soil-moisture and crop-monitoring rover
  • An obstacle-avoiding assistive device
  • A search-and-rescue bot for confined spaces
  • A medicine-reminder and dispensing system

Judging

What the jury looks for

Does it do what the team says it does, reliably, on the day?

  • Innovation and idea

    25%

How original is the approach to the problem?

  • Relevance to the theme

    20%

How clearly does the project address its category theme?

  • Presentation and teamwork

    15%

Can every member explain their part with confidence?

FAQ

Questions teachers and parents ask

Do we need to pay when we register?

No. Registration is free to submit. Our team contacts you to confirm the team members, and you pay ₹999 per team after that. Payment details come by email.

How many teams can a school register?

As many as you like, across any of the three categories. Add them all in one form, or come back and register more later.

Can a parent register their child directly?

Yes. Choose 'Parent / individual' on the form. An individual registration covers one team of 1 to 4 students, and each email address and mobile number can be used for one individual registration.

Can students from different classes be in one team?

Yes, as long as every member's class falls within the team's category: Classes 3–5 for Junior, 6–8 for Intermediate and 9–12 for Senior.

Is it ₹999 per student?

No. It's ₹999 per team, whether the team has one student or four.

What should the project be?

A robot, machine or automated model built around your category's theme. Download the theme brief for ideas and what the jury looks for.

Is food provided on the day?

Yes. Lunch is provided to registered participants at no extra cost.

What if a team member changes after we register?

Email us. Member changes can be made up to 3 days before the event, as long as the new member fits the category.
